Growth & Business Development Lead
Own the evidence behind what we build, who we sell to, and what we charge, and build the relationships and referral network that security work is bought on.

What you will do
Market research and go to market
Own the evidence behind what we build, who we sell to, and what we charge.
- Maintain a live map of competitors: security firms and tooling vendors. Pricing, turnaround, positioning, techniques and reputation. Update it weekly and share it with the team.
- Track funding rounds, mainnet launches, and grant programs to find teams entering a buying window and wanting help securing their product.
- Send emails and contact people to understand their pain points, what they are buying, and what they are not buying, and to offer them help. Build a pipeline of qualified conversations and opportunities.
- Run client interviews and report what people said, not what we hoped.
- Define the Ideal Customer Profile per product line and revise it as evidence changes.
- Turn research into product input: which tooling features matter, which are noise, what ships first.
- Build the go-to-market plan per launch: positioning, segment, channel, pricing, sequence.
- Own messaging and keep it consistent everywhere.
- Run these workflows yourself. Automating them is not part of this role.
Relationships and ecosystem
Security is bought on trust and referral. Build the network deliberately.
- Work a target list of protocols, infra teams, launchpads, accelerators, foundations, and funds.
- Build referral relationships with other security firms and tooling vendors.
- Close partnerships: referral agreements, co-marketing, vendor listings, grant program placements.
- Build relationships with independent researchers, auditors, and developers.
- Grow community surfaces and give people reasons to stay engaged between engagements.
- Decide which events are worth our time and budget, with reasoning written down.
- Run the full event cycle: target list, meetings booked before arrival, on-site execution.
- Find speaking, workshop, and sponsorship slots for our researchers.
- Maintain the CRM: every relationship, conversation, next step, owner, and date.
What you will deliver
- Monthly market brief with a recommendation.
- Live competitor matrix.
- Communication report with a summary of conversations and insights.
- Ideal Customer Profile per product line, reviewed quarterly.
- Go-to-market plan per launch.
- Minimum 10 buyer interviews or conversations per month.
What you need
- No prior deep experience is required, what matters is real effort, and doing this with your heart and full commitment.
- The appetite to take risks with us and help the team bring in more leads; this is reflected directly in your pay.
- A genuine love for this role and the willingness to commit to it.
- The art of planning and presenting results like a data analyst.
- Curiosity to know more about the market and help define the company's path.
What we offer
Pay
- Monthly retainer.
- A share of every project you work on, on top of the retainer. This is where the larger part of your income comes from, and your share grows as your work needs less review.
- Retention bonus on your 12-month date.
How we work
- Core hours are 12:00 to 16:00 Cairo, every working day. Online, reachable within about fifteen minutes, and ready to join a call.
- We count deadlines, not hours. Nobody tracks your time.
- You may work elsewhere, as long as you are present during core hours, you hit your deadlines, and you tell us in writing before you start.
Hiring process
Four stages, from a first conversation with both founders to an offer.
Interview with both founders
Basic information sharing and a vibe check.
Interview with each founder
Two separate interviews, one on the technical side, one on personality and soft skills.
Two-week trial
Normal hours, normal rules, unpaid. We write down what the two weeks should produce before you begin, and either side can stop at any point with nothing owed.
Offer
After two weeks, either you go on the retainer or we part cleanly.
